In-Country Adoptions

​The goal of our Mana Gammachuu orphanage is to place each abandoned child into a forever family through formal adoption.  Since Ethiopia closed international adoptions in January 2018, we are expanding our efforts through local churches to share the biblical mandate for adoption to Ethiopian Christians. To date we have placed almost 100 abandoned children into Ethiopian families and are confident we will find permanent families for every child in the orphanage.

In order to instill God’s plan of adoption for orphaned children into a culture that typically doesn’t consider adopting, we provide training seminars facilitated by local churches.  These workshops provide a biblical framework for adoption as well as teaching the practical and legal steps needed to adopt a child.  It costs $3000 to prepare, host and staff a workshop which is attended by 25-50 couples, though your gift of any amount helps make these necessary training workshops possible.
