Back in March of this year we received a tiny baby girl into our care at the orphanage (you can read her story here). At less than one month old, she came to us from the hospital where she had been treated for malnutrition.
Belise began to grow and thrive – as most all our babies do – in the loving and attentive care of the nannies.
A Christian couple married for 21 years had been trying in vain to have a child. Argawu and Genet so desperately wanted a family and they finally made the decision to adopt. They spent two years searching for an orphanage doing adoptions in Addis Ababa where they live but it was when a family member familiar with the Mana Gammachuu orphanage in Shashemene told them to visit that they found their daughter. This new father wept tears of joy and thankfulness when Belise was placed in his arms.
A little orphaned girl, abandoned and left for dead, was never out of the sight of her faithful Father. His plans for her are being accomplished… because of His great love.
In You O Lord the orphan finds love and compassion and mercy.
