Right now there are fifteen abandoned babies at the Mana Gammachuu orphanage. All but one are under one year old. Just try to imagine in only one day how many diaper changes happen, how many bottles of formula are needed, how many cries are responded to with a cuddle, how many tiny little shirts and onesies need washing … it’s a LOT!
All the clothing is used and reused, meaning it desperately needs to be replaced!
Diapers become ragged with repeated washing.
The nannies are all in need of new scrubs.
Our colorful foam floor mat needs to be replaced.
We always take over as much milk-based formula as we can procure.
Late next month, Joy, Jason and Jeff will be heading to Ethiopia and they hope to take with them a LOT of suitcases packed full of these much-needed and well-used items.
