My name is Roba. My life so far has been a miracle.

When I was only two days old, my birthmother left me near the orphanage in Shashemene, probably because she couldn’t care for me and she would get in trouble if she tried to give me to the orphanage in person. It’s a miracle someone found me and that I came to live at the Joyful Place orphanage.

It’s a miracle that someone in the U.S. sponsored me (they never even met me!), sending $50 each month so that I could get the formula I really needed.

It’s a miracle that I had the love and attention of my wonderful nannies.  There are so many abandoned children that don’t live or who grow up on the streets of the city.

And it’s a BIG miracle that even in the midst of a pandemic, I’ve been adopted!  I now have a big sister and my very own mommy and daddy who love me so much!

I will grow up knowing I am chosen and greatly loved – by my new earthly family and by my heavenly Father.

“With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
