Sweet little Jitu was one of the babies that came into our care from another orphanage which was shut down because of neglect and abuse. She was almost one year old at that time and was very sick. Thanks to the good care by our wonderful nannies, she has grown into a healthy little 18-month-old girl. She has also been covered in prayer ever since arriving at our Joyful Place orphanage.
Wogayehu never was married but always longed to have a child. She has a thriving business selling spices in the Shashemene marketplace. Wogayehu is a tender-hearted Christ-follower with a love and deep concern for the many destitute children she sees in her country. On January 16th she became a mommy and Jitu became a daughter!
Oh God, thank You that You set the lonely in families (Psalm 68:6)! Help us find families for each one of the children in the orphanage.
