In January of this year, a man was walking past an elementary school in Ethiopia and noticed a small bundle tucked behind the building. When he looked more closely, he realized it was a newborn baby boy. The police were notified and the Ministry of Women’s and Children’s Affairs placed him in our Mana Gammachuu orphanage. He was named Yohannes, which means “Blessed by Yahweh”. He weighed only 5½ lbs but with lots of good formula, he has grown and thrived.
Girma and Fantu had no children of their own but have always longed for a child. They began to learn about the possibility of adoption and they were overjoyed to be matched with Yohannes.
This hard-working couple – he is a store merchant and she sells grain – will be wonderful parents for little Yohannes.
Once abandoned. Now in his forever family. Praise God from whom ALL blessings flow!
