baby-feet-nle

As most of you reading this post know, the government in Ethiopia closed an orphanage in Shashemene and at the beginning of June transferred six children into the care of our Mana Gammachuu orphanage. All of the kids – two toddlers and four babies – were taken to the hospital and quarantined to treat their immediate conditions and prevent the spread of any potential communicable diseases. Tragically, one very malnourished baby died in the hospital.

Now five children are ‘at home’ in our orphanage where they are receiving the top-notch care of our loving nannies and our excellent nurse. The Ministry of Women’s Affairs has also placed a little girl, estimated to be about 5 years old, at the orphanage. They are seeking some of her extended family to become her guardian.

Please continue to pray for a couple of very sick and tiny babies. They need a miracle!

Without your generous help, we simply could not have provided the cribs, diapers, formula and hired extra nannies to care for six more children. You have quite honestly blown us away with your compassionate hearts.

May the Lord be loyal to you in return and reward you with His unfailing love. 2 Samuel 2:6

These abandoned babies rely on the faithful monthly giving of big-hearted folks like you… we thank you on behalf of 18 orphaned children in Ethiopia whose life stories have been rewritten!
