A wonderful service team from the University of Kentucky returned from a week in Ethiopia earlier this month. They spent a day in one of our family sponsorship project areas, Bole Bulbula. This extremely poor area just outside of Addis Ababa is home to many families struggling to survive.
We always hire local workers to make home repairs but sometimes mission teams like to lend a hand…
Belinesh’s house was quite literally falling down around her.
Under the guidance of our Missions Director, Mark…
Belinesh’s house was wrapped in a bright striped tarp to keep out the rain and wind.
Hana and her daughter Selam live in a little one-room house where the mud that sealed the gaps in the walls was cracked and falling off.
The team not only provided a new roof but helped to wrap her house as well!
GRATEFUL barely describes how these families feel!
This team served with JOY!
And they left behind tangible and much-needed gifts that won’t be forgotten!
Thanks to all the folks who served on this team – you have made a life-changing difference in many lives!
